The first cosmonaut of Brazil has left for ISS.


On Thursday at 6:30 am Moscow time the carrier rocket "Soyuz-FG" with the spacecraft "Soyuz TMA" successfully started from Baikonur.

On board of “Soyuz” space craft there are two members of 13 main ISS expedition Commander Pavel Vinogradov and NASA Astronaut Jeffry Williams as well as first Brazilian cosmonaut Colonel Marcos Pondes.


After a weekly space mission he should return on the 9 of April after the realization of national scientific program together with the members of the 12th ISS expedition – Russian Cosmonaut Valeriy Tokarev and NASA Astronaut William Mckartur.

The automatic docking of “Soyuz TMA” spacecraft with ISS is planned for the 1 of April 8:19 Moscow time.
